Prayagraj Police: The world’s largest religious event, Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025, is set to begin in just a few weeks. Police are getting special training to provide security and pleasant experience to the people coming to this spiritual gathering of crores of devotees. The training focuses on safety and teaching the police to be polite to the devotees. At the Triveni Sangam in Tirthraj Prayag, the police will treat pilgrims like their own family. The focus is on making sure police communicate with pilgrims in a gentle and cooperative way. They should act quickly and be ready to help at all times during their journey.
Special attention to the behavior of policemen
According to Rajesh Dwivedi, SSP (Kumbh) of Mahakumbh, the police are being trained not only to handle law and order but also helping devotees with dedication. He said, “Our focus is to ensure that the policemen behave gently and in a friendly manner with the devotees so that they find their experience enjoyable.
Special attention is being given to improving police behavior in their training, and outside institutions are helping with the process. Till now, 1,500 policemen have been trained, and all 40,000 policemen will be trained before the fair starts.
Practical training and focus on cyber security
The PTI news agency reported that during the training, policemen are being taught about cyber crimes, crowd control and ways to help in emergency situations. Mathura head constable Satish Kumar Yadav, who was a part of the training camp, said, “We were taught how to behave politely with the devotees and how to help them in case of any problem.”
Trained officers from the National Police Academy are helping to train the police. The program also advises policemen to stay alert and avoid actions that could cause disputes.
Respecting the sentiments of devotees
Special care will be taken to respect religious sentiments during Mahakumbh. Only vegetarian food will be served in the police mess, while non-vegetarian food and alcohol will be strictly banned at the fair. SSP Rajesh Dwivedi said, “We will ensure that no action hurts the sentiments of the devotees’’.
‘’ Bhashini App’’ Assists with Speaking Different Languages
For the convenience of the devotees, special preparations have been made for the policemen to overcome language barriers. The police force will be able to communicate in different languages with the help of “Bhashini App”. Police from different states and bilingual officers will help with communication.
‘’Kumbh Sahayak” chatbot will provide information in more than 10 languages
New technology will be used for the first time at Mahakumbh 2025. An AI chatbot called “Kumbh Sahayak” will give information about the fair in more than 10 languages. Mounted police will also help control the crowd. Trained officers, along with 160-170 horses will be assigned this time.
Aim to provide a pleasant experience to the devotees
Providing security and a positive experience for devotees at Maha Kumbh is a big challenge. To prepare for this, policemen are being trained in practical, technical, and cultural ways. This training is not just about law and order. It’s about creating a safe, caring place for devotees. Mahakumbh 2025 will be a spiritual centre and an example of great security and service.
