Preparations for the Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj are in full swing. On Wednesday, for the first time, five major Akhadas performed a combined Bhoomi Poojan. The auspicious ceremony was attended by administrative officials and a large number of saints and ascetics.
As part of the grand preparations for Kumbh Mela 2025, on Wednesday, five prominent Akhadas—Juna, Ahwan, Agni, Niranjani, and Anand—conducted the Bhoomi Poojan together. This was the first time such a joint Bhoomi Poojan was held for these Akhadas. The ritual began at 11 AM, in an auspicious muhurat, with Vedic chanting led by the priests. During the ceremony, coconuts were broken to purify the land for the upcoming construction of the camps.
The Akhada saints mentioned that with the Bhoomi Poojan, the construction of the camps for the Kumbh Mela will begin soon. Mahant Ravindra Puri praised the arrangements being made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and expressed hope for the successful completion of Kumbh Mela 2025.
Grand and New Udasin Akhada Bhoomi Poojan Tomorrow
On Thursday, the grand and new Udasin Akhada will conduct its Bhoomi Poojan. The ritual will take place after a Ganga Poojan at 10 AM.
Land Allocation for Dandibada
On Thursday, the All India Dandibada Committee will be allocated land. This process will begin at 11 AM. However, the committee has mentioned that the land allocated is less than expected. ADM Kumbh Vivek Chaturvedi stated that some issues have been resolved and the layout has been shown to the saints.
